After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
In order to be prepared for your upcoming program, we need to collect some additional rain gear sizing. We have created an online form and the link can be found in the Recommended Websites section of your pre-program information packet. Please complete this form within 45-60 days from the start date of your program. Alaskan Dream Cruises will provide rain pants and rain jackets that will be available on board that you may use for the entire shipboard based portion of the program. You may want to bring your own rain jacket for use during the hotel nights. A picture ID (passport, state issued ID, or driver's license) will be required to board the vessel. A passport is NOT required for the White Pass train trip. While the train goes into Canada, you do not step off of the train onto Canadian soil. If you prefer to have your passport with you, you are welcome to bring it. Included in the pre-program materials are the terms and conditions for the shipboard portion of the program. On the Personal Information and Preferences Form, please indicate to us the name of your roommate/traveling companion. Also let us know if you are traveling with other individuals and wish to be assigned a room near them. If you purchased round trip air through Road Scholar, Road Scholar will arrange your airport transfer with Alaskan Dream Cruises. You will receive an email approximately 30 days prior to the program start date with additional information. Please note that all participants will receive an email approximately 30 days prior to the program start date with your luggage tag that is required for Alaskan Dream Cruises. Participants need to print the luggage tag and bring it with them. The luggage tag does not need to be printed in color. Luggage tags will be attached at the hotel prior to embarkation. Please attach personal ID, such as a name tag to each piece of luggage before you leave home. Print as many copies of this tag as you require for all luggage.
United States citizens don’t need a visa for any of the countries you’ll be visiting. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.
If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Juneau is not accessible by road. The only way to get a vehicle to the program would be to bring one aboard the Alaska Ferry. Because the program ends in a different location driving is not a practical option.
Continental USA
This program isn't accessible by car. The only way to access Juneau and Sitka is via air or by ferry (Alaska Marine Highway- www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/). The Alaska Marine Highway has sailings from Bellingham, Washington, however, since we are starting and ending in different locations, this is not a practical option. Alaska Airlines has flights daily from Seattle or Anchorage. Delta has flights daily between Seattle and Juneau, and between Sitka and Seattle.
