From start to finish "Yellowstone's Great Outdoors with Your Grandchild" provided all of the ingredients by which wonderful memories are made. The program was very well organized and comprehensive. My grandsons (ages 9 and 10) enjoyed and got so much out of this adventure. I am so glad I was persistent in making it happen!

This was an excellent program. For our grandkids, the raft experience was the highlight. However, they also got a great deal out of the various activities in Yellowstone Natl Park including thermal features and wildlife. We thought that the trip was extremely well organized and led.

We just completed the Grandparent/Grandchild Yellowstone trip and it was fabulous! The instructors were wonderful and the activities really captured the interest of all three grandchildren. We saw a wolf, bear, lots of bison and elk. The kids will be talking about this trip for years!

What made this trip phenomenal was the very experienced and theatrical guide, Virginia. She has an exceptional voice and passion for working with kids. All of the activities were well planned and enjoyed by kids and grands alike. Our group leader, Quinn, was organized and caring and a GREAT spotter of wildlife. Yellowstone speaks for itself with its magic but having Quinn and Virginia and all the behind the scenes RS planning was an added blessing!

The look of joy on my grandson's face as we experienced the Road Scholar Grandparent and Grandchild Yellowstone National Park program will stay with me forever! I could certainly not have planned such wonderful educational experiences on my own. He stayed up late into the night when we go home, excitedly detailing our trip for his parents.

The Yellowstone Park trip was exceptional in every way, one that we grandparents and our 10 year-old granddaughter will cherish for years. Program materials accurately prepared us for a high-energy experience, and everyone (children and grandparents) willingly participated in each activity. Our leaders Virginia and Rick shared their extensive knowledge of Yellowstone, in an engaging manner that appealed to all ages. Wildlife sightings, the parks’ natural wonders, rafting and horseback riding were among the highlights for our family.

We (my husband, myself and two grandchildren ages 9 and 11) just returned from an unforgettable (or epic as described by the grandchildren) 6 days in Yellowstone NP where we were led by an absolutely phenomenal leader, Virginia. She led with unbeatable knowledge, grace and humor - enjoyed/appreciated by both children and adults. We experienced and learned so much about waterfalls, wild animals, geysers and Montana - all because our guide was (so willing and excited to share her knowledge) AWESOME! This program can’t be beat!!

The program from preparation to completion was exemplary. The learning activities and guidance from skilled guides was beneficial and greatly enhanced the trip. It was my first Road Scholar trip and I plan to take more based on the fantastic experience of this trip!

We have taken four grandsons on the domestic Road Scholar trip of their choice individually when they were just out of 5th grade. The bonding experience is permanently embedded in them as grandsons and us as grandparents. That is such a good age as they are not quite rolling their eyes at us and the trips are such that they have fun while learning and we enjoy being together so much. Yellowstone was the best to date!

The Yellowstone program was fun, educational and physically challenging! Our leaders Ilene and Charlie were organized, enthusiastic and extremely well qualified to lead our exploration of Yellowstone's fascinating geological, animal and human history from the very beginning until now. The white water overnight and horseback riding were excellent with delicious cookouts included. A perfect combo of engaging education and summer camp!

Yellowstone's Great Outdoors with my grandson was such a wonderful program. There is so much to do on this program from seeing wonderful Yellowstone in all its glory to horseback riding in the most beautiful mountains you will ever see to rafting and camping outside by the river and then continuing to raft the next day. The sparkle in my grandson's eyes is something I will remember for quite sometime.

Yellowstone is magical. The program is designed to allow adults and kids alike to experience much of its variety. Covid and floods prevented my grandson and me from having this adventure the first two times we registered. We wanted it badly enough to wait three years. We were not disappointed. Our adventure exceeded expectations.

Loved the program. My grandson was very happy with the activities. Everyone was so kind, friendly and inclusive. Alex's favorite activity was white water rafting. He still hasn't quit talking about it. Would highly recommend.

My 11-year old grandson said he had a great time, saw spectacular wildlife, learned new things, met new people, and enjoyed the tour. This was my first grandparent tour and I can highly recommend the Yellowstone program. This was such a bonding experience with my grandson. I watched him meet new friends from all over the country and he understands more about traveling and being on a tour. Each day was amazing for him so I took many pictures and videos for him to remember the trip. He wants to travel more now and is interested in visiting other National Parks.

Two years ago we took the sister and cousin of the grandchild (9 years old) we took this year. Both times were absolutely fun, educational and informative. We all had the best time. Met new friends from all over the USA.
