After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
In order to join your Road Scholar program, which begins in Glacier National Park, you are REQUIRED to present both of the following two (2) items to park officials at the entrance gate: 1. Glacier National Park Pass Passes may be purchased at the entrance of the park or online at: https://store.usgs.gov/pass 2. Vehicle Reservation OR Service Reservation Per park regulations, a valid reservation is required for each vehicle accessing the Going-to-the-Sun Road. This includes private vehicles, taxis, shuttles, etc. Because your lodging, Motel Lake McDonald, is located on the Going-to the-Sun Road, the Road Scholar lodging reservation serves as your Service Reservation to access the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Please locate your specific program dates in the attached Service Reservation. Please download or print these documents prior to your arrival as cellular data and internet connectivity at the park entrances is VERY limited. Be prepared to show either a paper or digital copy of the attached documents and your specific program dates at the park entrance gate. Service reservations will be emailed again 2 weeks prior to program start to ensure participants have a copy. Montana Raft Company and Glacier Guides, Inc., the entity that will provide the rafting experience during this program, is required by its insurance carrier to obtain a signed liability release waiver from all program participants. Participants must sign Montana Raft Company’s liability waiver prior to participating in the rafting activity. This waiver will be included in the program preparatory materials participants will receive after enrolling in the program and must be returned prior to the program’s commencement.
United States citizens don’t need a visa for any of the countries you’ll be visiting. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.

From Kalispell travel east on US Hwy 2 through Columbia Falls and Hungry Horse. In West Glacier, turn left toward Glacier National Park. After passing through the park entrance, take a right at the first stop sign onto Going-to-the-Sun Road. Drive approximately 8 miles along the shoreline of Lake McDonald. Follow the signs to Lake McDonald Lodge and Motel Lake McDonald (300 yards from Lake McDonald Lodge).
