After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
In order to enter Mexico as a US Citizen you need to have one tourist migratory form (FM-T) per person. (Cost of FM-T is included in airfare). These forms are obtained at the first port of entry, at the borders, or at Mexican consulates and embassies. Keep the FM-T in your possession at all times and return to authorities before leaving Mexico. A Visa is not required but a passport is needed to obtain a FM-T permit and may be required to re-enter the US. Procedures for obtaining the FM-T vary with the nationality of each visitor. Request the requirements for your nationality in any of the Mexican Consulates or Embassies in your respective countries. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 8, 2007, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document (Merchant Mariner Document or Air NEXUS card) to enter or re-enter the United States

Meet the group at Hotel Fiesta Inn Villahermosa Cencali in Villahermosa, Tabasco
Start of Trip: 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 6:30 p.m. Program Registration; 7:00 p.m. Welcome Dinner; Day 2 9:00 a.m. Orientation.
Getting to the site: NOTE: In order to maintain the Group Leader updated with your arrival, please inform our Geronimo office of your travel plans by sending an email no later than 30 days before the program begins to reservations@geronimotravel.com Independent Airport Taxi Transfer Instructions: 1. Arrival at Villahermosa International Airport. 2. Proceed through Immigration, Baggage Claim, and Customs. 3. Proceed to the area outside the arrival gate. 4. Locate a Taxi Booth inside the airport to purchase a ticket That provides you a ride in a government sealed taxi, the fare to the hotel is approximately $20.00US 5. Show the flyer with hotel information to the Taxi Driver. (Found in the #2 mailed packet) 6. Transfer to the hotel. (20 minutes) 7. If the service warrants, you may wish to tip the driver at the end of the ride. 8. Hotel Check-In. Special Transportation Contact and Instruction: Reservations can be made via email or phone. Customs procedures can take 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the number of people waiting in line. Transportation Representatives are aware of this delay. 4. Identify yourself as a program participant by displaying your Road Scholar / Geronimo Participant Flyer. (Found in the #2 mailed packet) 5. Proceed to the area outside the arrival gate and look for a transportation representative displaying a banner with the logo of Road Scholar or a placard with your name. 6. Transfer to the hotel. (20 minutes) 7. Make the transfer payment to the representative upon arrival at the hotel approximately $25.00US. If the service warrants, you may wish to tip the driver at the end of the ride.

Your trip ends on: Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas at Hotel La Ceiba
End of Trip: 8:00 a.m. after breakfast; 12:00 Noon hotel check-out.
Getting to the airport: The Group Leader can help you coordinate your airport transfers at the end of the program. Taxis to the airport are available. The cost is about 400 pesos per taxi ($20.00 US) To obtain a taxi from Hotel La Ceiba in Chiapa de Corzo to the Airport in Tuxtla Gutierrez, you can ask the person at the hotel front desk, and they will call a taxi for you.
Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. The Information Packet Road Scholar sends in advance of the program includes details needed to make your transfer arrangements. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
