Pickleball at Glen Ellis Lodge was fantastic! I significantly improved my playing ability and received coaching which ensured I stayed healthy during games. The food was tremendous, and the staff were thoughtful and kind. I would highly recommend this program and hope to return for the advanced course!

Wonderful program from the instructor to the accommodation to the amazing food. I highly recommend it. You will come out of the program with many more skills than when you started.

Superb main instructor and assistant instructors, along with Hosts at Sutton Glen Lodge, facilities at Glen Sutton Lodge, food was exquisite, the weather mostly great, and other participants were good. My partner and I are practicing what we learned there. Couldn't have been better!

The Lodge at Glen Sutton is a wonderful place to spend time playing pickleball. The food is delicious and the beds are comfortable. It was a magical time playing and better learning the game of pickleball.

Stephen and Joy have created a very inviting and relaxing lodging that caters to each person's needs. They are very personable and make each person feel appreciated and comfortable. I attended the Pickleball camp, but I know that people who come for other activities, whether it be hiking, bicycling, skiing or ballroom dancing (not me with my 2 left feet), receive the same treatment. Besides the amazing location, great trainers, particularly Venus for Pickleball, Joy's attention to dietary requirements of various guests and still providing amazing dishes is truly impressive. For only a group of 17 people, there were at least 4 different diet issues to address, Joy and her Sous Chef's, although I believe she considers them not so much subordinates but friends who are skilled chefs themselves. The nightly lectures and entertainment were varied and provided interesting details about Quebec and the French Canadian culture, in particular the Naturalist showing his videos of local animals including birds, bear, moose and river otters over a period of several years was great! I even purchased his book of photography with French captions, even though I can't speak or read French! The pictures convey their own story. This is an experience that ranks high on my list of favorite trips, which also improved my Pickleball skills, at least according to some of the group I play with at home! Thanks again to Stephen and Joy and highly recommend using their lodge for any activity.

This pickleball camp was a lot of fun. The coach was terrific and gave everyone a lot of feedback. The drills we did were very useful and I'm practicing them back at home. The lodge owners are very welcoming and the surroundings are very pleasant. Three awesome pickleball courts right on the premises. Very good food too all prepared fresh that day.

The Glen Sutton camp was our second pickleball in two years. The Glen Sutton experience stood out. We plan to return, probably with a next year return.

This was my wife’s and my seventh Road Scholar trip and was uniquely centered around pickleball. The training with Venus was exceptional. Her qualifications were evident, and she brought enthusiasm and energy to our sessions every day and evening. The venue was superb, our hosts were fantastic, and the food was very good. While the photographer, historian, and musicians who presented in the evenings were all very good, most of our group, felt that the evenings should have been dedicated to pickleball-related activities. This could have included reviewing training videos with expert pointers from Venus, learning about the history and strategies of pickleball, and learning advanced techniques. I know Venus would have been excited to continue our ‘lessons’ well into the evenings. Overall, this was a very good Road Scholar trip with a wonderful group of people. It was a whole lot of fun!
