Duration
1 hour
Join local expert and educator Caroline Buizza for a powerful exploration of the women who helped shape the French Revolution. Some were celebrated, others nearly forgotten — but all played a part in one of the most transformative chapters in French history. From writers and political activists to everyday citizens swept up in the fervor of change, these women met the Revolution with courage, conviction and, at times, great personal risk. Through vivid stories and insightful context, their lives and legacies are brought into focus as essential voices in the founding of modern France.

Caroline Buizza
Caroline was born and raised in Lyon, the capital city of French gastronomy. After completing her Masters degree in Canada, she became a teacher and worked in Finland, England, and France. However, she was meant to be on the road and thus decided to go back to school to become a tour guide. She has always been in love with French history, art and culture and she takes pride in sharing her country's wonderful heritage with groups. Caroline has been leading tours for six years now and visitors have been enchanted with her dedication, her depth of knowledge and her enthusiasm. When not working, Caroline can be found hiking or snowboarding in the Alps, baking or traveling the world. She started traveling when she graduated from high school and has never stopped since then. So far, she has visited 37 countries, but her bucket list seems never-ending!
