During a spectacular outdoor adventure in Maine’s Acadia National Park, experience seaside cliffs, ocean air and breathtaking views atop the highest peak along the Atlantic Coast. Cycle on carriage roads by the sea, past the pines and between the cliffs as you learn more about the region’s unique formation and local diversity. Enjoy the spectacular views and some of the most ideal sea kayaking areas in the world while relaxing in the picturesque Down East town of Bar Harbor.

Sheila Bressler first visited Mount Desert Island (MDI) over a decade ago with family and friends and has been captivated by its picturesque landscape ever since. She and her husband, Michael, live and travel across the country in their camper full time, and their love of the granite mountains and the rocky ocean shoreline keep them coming back to Acadia National Park for more adventures. Sheila loves to hike, bike, and kayak, and to share the beauty and history of MDI with Road Scholars.

Hikes up to 5 miles over rugged terrain; rides of 12-20 miles; kayaking 5-6 miles; up to 4-6 hours physical activity a day.
