Wonderful trip with an outstanding leader! Montreal and Quebec were both new to me and I learned and saw so much more than I would have traveling on my own. Great group of travelers as well. Highly recommend!!

i enjoyed and learned from the program to Montreal and Quebec City. We shared a different culture and way of life. My horizons were broadened. Our leader, Ian is the best! The local guides and lectures (as well as the French Canadian musicians) were superior. Give it a try.

I just completed the Montreal and Quebec City tour and had the most fantastic time. A wonderful tour guide, Anna, and a cohort of people who were friendly and interesting and a delight to be with for a week.I made several new friends and intend to stay in contact with them. Accommodations were great, and there were several exceptional events including a session with the organist of the Notre Dame Basilica. I could not recommend this tour more highly! It was a wonderful first Road Scholar trip for me. The activity and pace was perfect, with enough free time to explore as well. I look forward to planning another trip with Road Scholar.

First, I received no program materials prior to arrival. I've done 17 or 18 R.S. programs, and this was one of the most enjoyable. Anna Maria was terrific!

With a short flight I took a trip back into history in UNESCO city of Quebec plus felt as if I had flown hours to a foreign destination which was within an hour of Us border! Montreal was equally a treat to eyes plus exploring new foods and traditions was fun. My brain was stretched along with waistline despite lots of walking.

I would like to see more solo traveler programs 5-8 day trips perhaps to Caribbean or other cities with more economical pricing. Maybe more self guided tours would save money for Road Scholar

My Road Scholar trip to Montreal and Quebec City exceeded my expectations. Quebec is the new favorite city in the world, bumping Salzburg to second place. The people are so friendly, dual lingual, and courteous, and the food was amazing! The town is clean and encourages talented street musicians! I felt I was in a small neighborhood in Paris without the craziness of all the tourists. I must say the cuisine eclipsed that of Paris!! I am taking my husband back next year. He is a foodie like me!

Our Road Scholar trip to French Canada met our expectations in every way. We had fun, met interesting and delightful people, and learned a lot about historical Canada and Canada today. Our group host, Marie, couldn't have been better! We're looking forward to more trips with Road Scholar.

Overall a fun trip. There were a few areas that could be improved that would have made this a five star trip rather than three. Our trip leader was not very organized or good at providing clear directions. Given that there was no printed itinerary or daily message board it was really important to be clear. Many things were missed that could have been accomplished with more direction. In Montreal the Botanical gardens and the Archeological museum were "on your own" trips and really should not be missed. I think going on your own is fine, especially the gardens which are vast and many options to explore, maybe have the bus drop the group off there on day two? We went the day before the trip and are so happy we did so. The Montreal hotel did not offer any room cleaning service and this seemed a bit much especially with an extra day. There was no coffee in the lobby and the shop is not open some days, one elevator was out for two days. Very limited service. The location is great and there are lots of shops within a few blocks so not a major ordeal however the hotel was not cheap and you would expect better. In both cities we found food and service at restaurants we went to on our own much better than those included in the tour so the issue with service is not everywhere. Better choices perhaps?

Both Montreal and Quebec are worth seeing. They're a bit like Europe but much closer. The cultures are an interesting mix of French and English. Marie, the Group Leader, was charming.

The private concert with the organist from the Basilica of Norte Dame in Montreal was worth the trip. Seeing the Botanical Gardens is a must. The meals outside of the hotels were fine dining. The musical concert in Quebec was wonderful.

The trip was wonderful. Excellent Guides. Good accommodations, local trips, and restaurants. Transportation was the only issue. Initially, RS scheduled me leaving home from an airport in another city, they didn't send the taxi transfer vouchers, and couldn't help when the return flight home was canceled. Everything got worked out and some issues were beyond RS's control. It just made the travel portion pretty awful.

French Canada: Montreal and Quebec City was really fun and full of information. They recommended reading the book Bury your Dead by Louise Penny. It was perfect--set in the old city. But be prepared for the steep streets in Quebec City.Your knees will have to be in good shape for all the walking.

I was so thrilled to have experts help us in seeing and experiencing the true flavor of the cities we visited. Also the "flavor" of the area in each of the restaurants we had meals at. Exceptional.

If you think you understand the history of North America, think again -- and then sign up for this program in Montreal and Quebec City! I learned so much about the influence of the French, English, Irish and Scots in Canada, and ultimately in the US, and about the history and government of Canada as a whole. These are two very different cities: Montreal is a fascinating study of maintaining historical significance while embracing the 21st century, while Quebec City is just a jewel of French history, culture and architecture.

Remarkable trip. The group leader, Lise Lambert, was exceptional. We enjoyed Les Pyrenees restaurant in Old Montreal. The accommodations were very good and handy to various restaurants and museums. We appreciated the "slower pace" of this trip.

This is an enjoyable & enlightening tour that focuses on the history of both Montreal & Quebec City. You stay right in the charming historic sections of each city & learn a lot about French Canadian history. Ample time is allowed for individual exploring. Tres bon!
