At a Glance
On quiet trails along the Rogue River, wildflowers sprout colorful blooms of pinks and yellows and bald eagles soar above verdant cliffs. Welcome to your home for the week: a beautiful remote river canyon in Southwest Oregon. With experts by your side, unplug from the outside world and spend three nights camping on one of the west coast’s most picturesque trails. In this hiker’s paradise, choose the trails perfect for your desired level of physical activity, or float along in a raft with new friends. Along the way, learn about the local wildlife and study unique flora before resting your eyes under the stars.
Activity Level
Outdoor: Choose Your Pace
Each day, choose from hiking and rafting options based on your desired level of challenge and pace. Depending on the day, hikes range from 2.2-6.3 miles on maintained trails with varied terrain.
Micro Group
These adventures feature our smallest group size, with 12 participants or fewer.
Best of all, you’ll…
- Join experts on either a hiking or rafting adventure to your campsite at Horseshoe Bend.
- Enjoy a pleasant lunch at a cabin built by American Western novelist Zane Grey.
- Experience a serene float to Winkle Bar as you immerse yourself in the wonders of the wilderness.
General Notes
This is a Micro Group program, with 12 or fewer participants. This program is part of our “Off the Map” series, exploring truly remote areas of the United States as a way to connect with local culture and landscapes, and disconnect with the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. Our goal is to bring you to places that have limited (or no) access to Wi-Fi, cell service and other technology so you can enjoy authentic learning experiences without modern distractions. Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.
