Alaska is 20% of the land mass of the United States, and its location on top of North America provides a unique environment for astonishing species of wildlife. Join expert Jerri Roberts for the second segment of this three part series, and get to know wildlife in Alaska. This lecture will focus on Subarctic Alaska — interior Alaska between the Brooks and Alaska Ranges of mountains. This area is home to many animal species including grizzlies, Dall sheep, moose and the mysterious wood frog.

Jerri Roberts
Jerri Roberts has been a Road Scholar Study Leader in Alaska on programs in the Arctic, Interior, and Southeast. She has a broad perspective on Alaska’s wildlife and natural history in all of these regions. She has also been an instructor at the Denali Education Center. Jerri has lived in Denali Park for 20 years. She worked as an Interpretive Park Ranger introducing the wonders of the wilderness to thousands of Park visitors on discovery hikes, theater programs, campground programs, and sled dog demonstrations.
