From polar bears, caribou and grizzlies to bowhead whales, microscopic zooplankton and phytoplankton, let’s go on a wildlife adventure in the Arctic, Subarctic and Temperate Rainforest regions of Alaska! Alaska is 20% of the land mass of the United States, and its location on top of North America provides a unique environment for astonishing species of wildlife. In the final segment of this three part series in getting to know wildlife in Alaska, the focus will be on the Temperate Rainforest in Southeast Alaska — renowned for its migrating marine mammals and birds. Join expert Jerri Roberts for an examination of the ecosystem, and learn to appreciate why it’s such a rich sanctuary for wildlife.
