Cruise Line Terms and Conditions of Carriage Road Scholar participants enrolling in this program are subject to HX Expeditions terms and conditions of carriage, which include an assumption of risk agreement, waiver of liability, and other important information regarding your rights and obligations. Participants are therefore encouraged to carefully review them in advance. You can view the cruise line’s terms & conditions by visiting their website at the link below: www.travelhx.com/en-us/terms/ Mandatory HX Forms: All guests travelling with HX must submit a Ship Manifest Information Form and have their Medical Screening Form approved. Closer to departure we will e-mail all participants the link to complete this. All participants need to be comfortable getting in & out of zodiacs, feel comfortable navigating around the ship and handle stairs while onboard. PLEASE NOTE: The ship is not suitable for Wheelchair/Electric Scooter use.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Start of Trip: 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in and Program Registration; 6:00 p.m. Orientation
Getting to the site: Participants that have arranged their airfare through Road Scholar, and are arriving on the designated arrival date of the program will receive an arrival transfer. Please note, if you did not book your air through Road Scholar, you will NOT be able to join a transfer. If you are arriving independently, or have made your own flight arrangements, taxis, trains, and buses all run to the city from the airport, see below for further links and information: avinor.no/en/airport/oslo-airport/to-and-from-the-airport/train-buss-and-taxi/taxi NOTE REGARDING TAXIS: If you want to take a taxi from the airport, we recommend that you go to the Taxi booking machine located outside the terminal building at ground level in the same area as taxi pick up. You will be able to book taxis, as well as find an overview of prices. Normally the taxi will arrive within 3 to 5 minutes. Please make sure to book your ride in advance either though the booking machine or by using the taxi companies' own booking applications. We do not recommend getting into a taxi without an active booking or to make agreements with drivers directly inside or outside the terminal building. The taxi pick up area is located outside international arrivals.

Getting to the airport: The Radisson Blu Airport Hotel, Oslo Gardermoen is linked to the Oslo airport by a covered walkway.
Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. The Information Packet Road Scholar sends in advance of the program includes details needed to make your transfer arrangements. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
