Follow in the footsteps of polar pioneers on a voyage through Antarctica’s spellbinding landscapes! Depart from Ushuaia on an expedition vessel specifically designed for the Antarctic waters and cross the legendary Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula. Voyage through the stunning scenery of Lemaire Channel, nicknamed “Kodak Gap,” before exploring the ruins of a British research station at Port Lockroy and sailing into the flooded caldera of Deception Island. With seasoned naturalists and historians, go ashore by Zodiac, paddle past sculpted icebergs and experience the vastness and fragility of Earth’s last great wilderness.
Best of all, you'll...
  • Explore Buenos Aires, the “Paris of South America” — discover the passion of tango music and dance and enjoy a day in the Pampas experiencing the unique culture of the gauchos.
  • Journey with onboard experts alongside towering icebergs and scan the sea for whales, seals and albatrosses.
  • Set foot on the Antarctic Peninsula and learn about its history, wildlife and environmental significance.
Activity Level
Keep the Pace
Walking up to two miles over varied terrain including hills, mud, gravel and ice. Most embarkations and disembarkations will be via Zodiacs, requiring the ascent and descent of steep stairs between the Zodiacs and the ship. Zodiac landings will generally entail disembarking onto wet surfaces, which may be slippery. Wind and choppy water may result in more turbulent Zodiac transfers.
